On October 3rd the Pi Rho chapter, based on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, presented a $1,000 check to their adopted school Julia P Bryant Elementary. The money obtained from the fraternity's 2024 Adopt-a-school grant will go towards the school's counseling services and student needs department. This is the culmination of a three-year partnership between the chapter and Julia P Bryant. In January 2023, the chapter began a mentorship club for the school's 4th grade boys, aimed at cultivating a sense of pride, purpose and community in them. The success of the program led to the signing of a MOU in the fall of 2023, where the Pi Rho chapter formally adopted the school. To date, the chapter has mentored forty-five boys through the program and continues to support the school as a dedicated community partner.
